Our company offers wide range of solutions and technologies for the shipbuilding industry

01.

Welded connections

Westmar operates with welding technologies approved by classification societies for carbon steel, stainless steel, cunifer as well as duplex and superduplex steel.

02.

Clamping systems (Mapress, Sanpress)

Safe connection option for pipes made of stainless, carbon steel and cooper. Usually is used in any drinking water, heating, sprinkler or compressed air systems installations (thanks to quick installation and clean working environment). This solution works also for installations where may occur aggressive media, high temperature and pressure.

03.

Grooving

Allows quick installation with no need of welding and is used for steel, cast iron, acid-resistant and aluminum pipes. Grooving system is able to operate to 90 bar pressure and 120 degrees Celsius. It’s main benefit is vibartion reduction – that is why is often used on ships, refineries or offshore platforms.

04.

Benteler System

System intended to connect pipes in high pressure applications. Allowable working pressure range for this type of solution is up to 630 bar for carbon steel and 260 bar for stainless steel. The best system for water mist and CO2 systems.

05.

Push-fit

Designed to work in vacuum systems. Mainly used for drainage installations. This kind of solution first of all, is easy to assemble (without twisting, gluing, soldering or welding) and has long performance life.

06.

Glassfibre Reinforced Epoxy (GRE)

Fiberglass-reinforced epoxy pipes are an alternative to carbon steel ones. They are comparatively easy to transport and install. Due to the specific composition have high anti-corrosive properties, don’t require maintenance. Thermal conductivity of GRE pipes is low in comparision to steel and therefore heat loss and insulation costs are minimized. Those pipes are widely used in power startions piping, gas and oil flow lines, drinking water distribution and on offshore platforms.

07.

Cutting rings

The character of cutting ring connections consists in the assembly, when the two edges of the cutting ring are forced into the outer surface of the pipe. This solution provides adequate protection for systems working with high operating pressures. Today these connections are used all over the world, especially in hydraulic systems. Pipes usually have dimensions standardized in ISO 8434.
